Beautiful Primavera (Blond Mahogany) Alaia surfboard by our longtime customer Randy Leopold: “Last summer I bought a large-ish Primavera slab from you…it took me a while to find the time but thought you might appreciate how my project is turning out. It’s a 6’-6” x 18” Alaia. The “bow ties” are koa. No power tools used - except a Skilsaw for the rough template. I also wanted to tell you that the Primavera is a total dream to work with. I used a block plane for a lot of the shaving and the wood cut like butter and it sands up beautifully. The finish is multiple coats of Tung Oil.
